Etc etc etc.
That's the thing about an old house (circa 1902), even when it's refurbished and renovated (several times in the last 100 years), some things can't be moved/avoided; beams for example. Laying extra cables and fitting more plugs and light sockets becomes a difficult and time-consuming chore.
And we're still filling the cracks and holes.
And here's the thing about Germany; very strict 'no noise' periods; like between 12:30 to 13:30, and from 18:00 to 7 in the morning. Soooooo, no sanding, drilling, vacuuming, or loud bodily functions (ok, I made up that last one) and especially not on a Sunday.
Having said all that, our neighbours have been really patient.
But after 6 years of living in Spain, you can HEAR the silence here. And sometimes it too quiet.
Right, it's Saturday evening, almost 9pm, and we're getting ready for another round of wallpapering. Carpe Diem, and all that.
Did you paint the wall too? You did great with the cable wires. It is now such a pleasant sight to see. I wonder how long it took you to cover the holes though.

That looks like a tough job considering the no noise policy in Germany. I wonder how you managed to do it. The walls look neat and clean now. I wonder how this turned out.
